You can have your NeetZen account and everything attached to it deleted. This page explains how to ask, what gets deleted, and the one case where we cannot help you — because it is better to say so here than after you have written in.
To request deletion: email privacy@neetzen.com from the address you use to sign in to NeetZen, with the subject Delete my NeetZen account. We reply to confirm, and delete within 30 days of confirming.
That is the whole verification step, and it is the reason we ask for it: the email address on the account is the only thing that ties a request to an account. We will not delete an account on the word of a different address, because doing so would mean anyone could delete anyone's revision history by naming them.
If you cannot use that address any more, write from any address and say so. We will ask you for something only the account holder would know — roughly when you started, which papers you have sat — rather than refuse outright.
| Your account | The sign-in itself. You will not be able to log in again, and the address becomes free to use for a new account. |
|---|---|
| Your study record | Chapters and topics opened, how far you got, every question you answered and which option you chose. |
| Your tests | Every attempt, every response, your scores and timings. |
| Your revision queue | Everything scheduled for you, including anything not yet due. |
| Your conversations with Zen | Messages, replies, and any photo you sent for help with a question. |
| Your check-ins and notes | Including scanned notes. |
Deletion is deletion. There is no archived copy to restore from and no undo — if you ask us and then change your mind a month later, the work is gone. If you want a copy first, ask for that in the same email and we will send you what we hold before deleting it.
If you set one, it is stored on your device and was never uploaded to our servers. Deleting your account does not touch it; uninstalling the app or clearing its data does.
NeetZen starts you off without an account so that you can begin studying immediately. That anonymous account lives on your device and has no email address, no phone number and no name attached to it — nothing that identifies it as yours.
So if you have never added an email address in Settings → Protect your progress, there is nothing we can match you to. We cannot find your account to delete it, and you cannot prove which one is yours. That is not a policy choice we can waive; the identifying information does not exist.
What you can do instead, and it is complete: uninstall the app, or clear its data from your phone's app settings. The account becomes permanently unreachable — by you and by us — and the study record attached to it is orphaned with no way back to a person. If you would rather it were actively deleted rather than orphaned, add an email address first, then write to us; that turns an anonymous account into one we can identify and erase.
We reply to confirm we have your request, usually within a few days. Deletion happens within 30 days of that confirmation. We will tell you when it is done rather than leaving you to assume it.
Many NEET aspirants are under 18. If you are a parent or guardian and want your child's account and data removed, write to the same address and say so. We do not require the account holder's own confirmation in that case.
